Another Successful Associate Community Network Event

A year on from our inaugural event, we were pleased to welcome so many familiar faces as well as a number of new faces to our latest associate networking event on Friday the 22nd April 2016.  We kicked off the event with a ‘Speed Dating’ session, which was not only great fun, but all found really useful in getting to know their fellow Caja associates.
We then had an extremely thought provoking presentation and discussion on Diversity in the workplace, lead by Qudsia Karim, currently acting as the interim Talent and Leadership Director at Magairports.  This certainly hit a chord with many of the attendees and created some interesting debate when we broke into discussion groups.  The output from the these sessions is available on the Caja Knowledge base.
Our news and update session was packed full of exciting news, a summary of which is below:-
Caja launches ‘The Caja Academy’  offering management/leadership skills to:-
  • Our Employees
  • Our Associates
  • Our clients
  • Our Partners
Utilising the skills and experiences of our great community to provide, knowledge sharing and education.  We believe this is a great example of our Community in Action.

Caja Product Development – As the business evolves, we are now starting to focus our attention to developing a number of timely and market relevant products, which are built upon our core capabilities.  We are hoping to be actively offering these to clients in May, and there is information available for those associates who may wish to speak to some of their contacts about these:-
  • Digitisation – Is your IT department able to collaborate with the business – An audit of current capabilities, with skills gap analysis and journeymap.
  • Finance Skills – Basic Finance skills for those moving into managerial  positions with little or no previous experience of managing budgets, creating business cases, identifying and delivering savings
  • Management Skills – Basic management skills, aimed at those taking on wider people and financial management responsibility.
“With Josh in Mind” Campaign – Nick Bloom gave an update on the progress of the Charity and reminded everyone about the golf event on the 25th June – Please let us know if you want to participate or visit www.justgiving.com/withjoshinmind  if you wish to make a donation.

Our Team of the Quarter – we were proud to announce our first Team of The Quarter – The G4S team, who have recently managed to go live with the delviery of the Niche software into a number of Police forces, with great praise from the client and the Police.
Finally, we said farewell to Emma Dixon, who many of you have dealt with over the last 12 months and we wished her all the best in her new role and as importantly welcomed 2 new team members:-
  • Charlotte Weber – who has taken over from Emma, as Office Manager
  • Hannah Fray – our new Apprentice Administrator.
We hope that both Charlotte and Hannah will enjoy working with the whole Caja community.
As always we encourage all our associates and partners to actively support the Caja community and look forward to catching up with you all again soon.
